Making Progress

Things are getting done around the house!!  We know have a bar in the living room which means there is now more cabinet space in the kitchen.  This bar really compliments our living room  and makes The Ken very happy!!

We have also hung up pictures in the living room and kitchen.  Finally!!!  Even the girls have commented that it finally looks like "our" house.
We have yet to get through the first winter, but I have to say, this has been the most awesome decision for us.  The girls are very happy with the move.  They love having their own rooms, they are enjoying their schools, and they completely love where we live.

I am in awe every day about living here in Montana.  My drive to work contains NO traffic!  The scenery is amazing!! I keep telling myself that I have to find a way to get pictures of what I see.  I have never seen the leaves change color like this, and I really want to document it.  Watching the morning mist lift off of the plains just below the hills is something that cannot be described!!

The job, for me, is going much better now that I have some help.  Thank GOD for Lee!!!  She is new to me, so we're still feeling each other out, but she seems to be a fan of mine, and as she is Native, she is starting to tell people that I'm not a freak and should be liked.  I think that will help the parents I work with to trust a little more.

With Lee's help, I'm also finally being able to work with the other students on my caseload as well as get to the dreaded paperwork.  I never seem to have enough time in the day, but with only 6 kids on my caseload, it should be a lot easier than it's been.

Most everyone that i work with is amazing.  There are always backstabbers and icky people, but that is everywhere.  I'm forced to suck up to some people I would normally not talk to, but it's to ensure that my classroom gets serviced appropriately for my students.  Being nice to everyone never hurts anyway, right??

Ken has been working his ass off - and that is literal as he has lost 25 pounds already.  It's really disgusting that men can lose weight so easily, but he's very happy with the change, and I'm happy for him. In just a couple weeks, he has really been able to check a lot of items on our "house to do" list off.  Talk about an accomplishment!!  I can't imagine what this move would be like if both of us had to work.  We'd probably still be living out of boxes.
