Kim did not want to acknowledge her birthday. In fact, she refers to it as the Anniversary of her 29th Birthday. Well, we couldn't let this go, so we shanghai'd her and made her go out to celebrate!
We started at The Italian Kitchen where we had more food than we could handle - as usual.
Ken had to get a picture with his Wife #2.
After we had consumed more food than we thought possible, we headed to The Cadillac Ranch. We got there early, which allowed us to get a table and enjoy some jukebox music and conversation.
When the band showed up at 9 pm, the place got packed and then it was incredibly loud. We all learned that we are older than we think, and Ken remarked that the Cigar Club is now more our speed - quiet and enjoyable.
Michael finally plucked up the courage to ask Kim to dance. Ken and I enjoyed a couple dances, but the younger crowd and the oddness of the people there combined with the really loud band, had us heading home at only 11 pm. Wow! Well, I'm sure we'll find a "second wind" after the girls are gone and we don't spend so much energy dealing with them. However, I still think that we would enjoy different activities rather than the bar.
