The Flu Hit....Mandy's award

The flu has been going around this house for over a week.  Each of us has gotten it twice which is completely ridiculous - like once wasn't bad enough!  Oddly enough, Ken got the flu shot, but he still keeps getting the flu.  

The weirdest part of this flu was the horrible headache.  Each of us have had it, and it feels like your head is going to explode.  My eyes even hurt from the pressure for two days.

We managed to get the house decorated and the Christmas tree up.  Mandy was extra-adamant about decorating this year, so we were sure to make it happen.  

Yesterday, Mandy received the Teacher's Award at school.  It was so funny to me.  The night before, Mandy told me she was receiving the award, and she about lost her mind that I might not make it to the assembly.  However, when she saw me sitting there, she became instantly embarrassed and actually tried to hide from me.

When I asked her why she was acting like that, she said, "You had THE CAMERA!"  Really??  I always have The Camera!  It's why we bought it!!  We don't want to miss any important pictures about our lives.  Geez! Only a teenager would freak about ensuring you are there and then freak out because you were there.  

Her award was for, "Being an Outstanding Student! Always follows directions and is self-motivated!"  Way to go, Mandy!!
