Anniversary Weekend - and the Damn Blue Cookie!

Ken and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Friday, but we kept the celebrations going all weekend.

I planned for some great items to give to Ken.  Eventually, we want to get the piano out of the living room, also remove the entertainment center by putting the TV on the wall and then shelving the games and movies, and we want to put a bar in that corner.  So, I found a couple of really nice bar items for Ken to get him started.

Ken gave me two gift certificates for Massage Envy.  I am going to save those for a couple really needed hours.

Sadly, our actual anniversary day was incredibly busy.  Ken and I were sniping at each other which really didn't do much for my mood.  I'm not sure what his problem was, but it took a while for him to move through it.

I was happy with having the picture of us with the cake, but Taylor insisted on the "traditional kissing picture" so we obliged her.  Ken licked my nose right after this picture was taken, and he ended up with some Kudos from the owner.  "From one husband to another; that was GREAT!"

We spent the evening with the girls and enjoyed our supper at Oggi's and then we went to see the new Hobbit movie with them.
The movie was really good.  We enjoy these, and of course, the ending set up for the next movie.

On Saturday, we had a great meal planned, and Michael came over so I could finish the anniversary celebration.  For this, I have to give the back story:

The morning of Thanksgiving, Ken woke up and started complaining that I had been mean to him.  I worried that maybe I had hit him during the night or something, but that wasn't it.  He said that he had a blue cookie and used blue M & Ms to make a happy face on it, but then I took it away.  He spent the entire day lamenting the loss of this blue cookie from his sleep and kept telling everyone how mean I was to him.

The story of the blue cookies and how I am so mean to him continued.  He has told all of our friends, family, and anyone else who will listen to him about how mean his wife is.  Holy crap!!

So, to help redeem myself from his subconscious, I purchased special-imprinted M & M's, and Michael made the blue cookies.

Ken laughed so hard when he saw everything!!  He couldn't believe that I found blue M & M's and he loved reading what I had written on them.  Then, I whipped up some blue icing, made a happy face and made him eat the stupid cookie.

For the record, the story of the blue cookie has made the girls scream at him, "Get over it Man!"

I know hope to never hear of the cookie I took from him during his dream ever again.  I made it a reality and now he should be able to move on.  LOL
