Saying Goodbye & Then Hello

It is time for Ken and me to check-out of the villa an head home. I am so grateful for the time to relax. It's amazing how much the body knows that you need to reconnect with some roots and center you back on your foundation. The beach does that for me - just the sound of the ocean an smell of the sea air and In back to being "me".

So, back up to the desert and routine life again. It's a good life, but I do enjoy the breaks every now and then. Hopefully, we will be back this summer with the girls for our annual summer beach holiday, but it's been difficult so far to get a reservation. I hate that so many other people have figured out my "secret," but I'll keep trying for our summer trip.

The drive home was an easy one. We missed all of the traffic - which I was hoping to miss.

Of course, once we were home, life moved on and quickly. I picked up Taylor and Mandy from school to get them to their orthodonic appointment. Taylor has not been wearing her retainers correctly, so she was shown again how to wear them properly. And now, Mandy has her turn for corrective measures, but her overbite is pronounced, so I had to talk to Ken before we could make a decision.

Life got very busy very quickly once we were home. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to get away for a couple days, and I hope it can hold me over for a while.
