My Firefly Fairies

I was looking through some stitching catalogs online this morning, and I ran across one that made me stop and think.  I really enjoy Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum from Lavender & Lace.  She has beautiful angels and fairies that she has designed, and I just received her Celtic Seasons.  As I was looking through some other patterns, I saw the Firefly Fairies, and I had to stop and give pause.

Having three daughters is always an interesting thing.  Everything in this house is color coded so that there is no, ok, less arguing about things.  Taylor has always been Blue, Mandy is Green and Jordan is Pink.  Those are, and always have been, their favorite colors.   


All of these years, I never thought about the combination of their colors - it's totally Disney!  They are the colored like the Three Fairies in Sleeping Beauty.  I never intended or even suggested their colors.  It's like their favorite animals.  I had nothing to do with them; the girls just gravitated to them:  Taylor has the dragonfly, Mandy the red-eyed tree frog and Jordan loves Hummingbirds.  


The girls' personalities don't match their colors according to the fairies' dispositions in Sleeping Beauty, but it's still a fun observation!
