Michelle took this idea and ran with it. She talked to Lion's and got a women's night set up right away. I helped out with the first event, and we had 10 women show up for the evening. We started with food and talking and then moved out onto the range.

Commence firing, ladies! |
These women had a great time! They shot for over an hour and loved getting to try different pistols to see what they liked. A couple women brought their own pistols to try - and I am still trying to understand why the store, Turner's, decided that one woman's first pistol should be a Glock .45. I completely hate that store. She fired it and managed to do well, but it is not a great idea for a first pistol for women.
At the end of the evening, and even through today, Michelle and I were seeing postings on Facebook telling us what a great time they had; this was great, etc. It's a cool feeling to know that we found an idea that works.
Now, Michelle and I are trying to find catchy names for the two groups and get flyers made. I've got to get everything ready for our first shoot on May 13th. So much to do in so little time.
