I already posted the Ladies' Shooting Night from last week. The day before the shoot, I went to Hollywood to see a dear friend from my childhood, Keri Lamb (now Summers). She lives in Washington state, but she was down here on business, so we scheduled a "date" for the two of us. Keri and her family have been down to Cali numerous times, but our schedules just never meshed to where we could get together. This time, it worked!
Ahhhh, so I left early, and Keri was awesome to leave my name at the desk so I could get into her hotel room. I had an overnight bag just in case, but I also packed a bathing suit, so I could lounge by the pool - which was totally awesome!! It was so nice to be sitting next to a pool, enjoying the sun and just relaxing. And, as Keri said, I was enjoying it on Uncle Sam's dime - even better!

My view of the pool! |
So, after relaxing and sunning myself for a while, I went back to Keri's room to get dressed for an evening out with her. I was ready fairly quickly, so I sat back and enjoy the view from her room. It was fairly cool.
When Keri arrived, we enjoyed some chatting while she finished working for the day, and then I helped her to get dressed. Ken had seen her shirt with the large heart and "I love porn" on it, so she pulled out a couple other shirts for me to take pictures for Ken. Hahaha!
We headed out to El Coyote for margaritas and some munchies. She had another friend of hers join us, Anthony. The three of us had a blast talking and catching up on life. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Anthony, but hanging out and catching up with Keri was so great for me. She was such a huge influence in my life and an amazing friend. I quickly realized that Keri can still out-do me in the drinking and party areas. She has more stamina now then I had when we were younger. LOL
Once we closed down El Coyote, Keri and I headed over to the Hard Rock Cafe and enjoyed some more margaritas. We had a great time still chatting and catching up on life. Keri's iPhone was fun capturing a picture of us.
I stayed for a few hours to sleep off the tequila before venturing home. Keri was great, and I loved hanging out with her again. Even better was that Ken didn't mind me running down to Hollywood for a day to do so. I was really glad that I left early in the morning to return home, however, since 3 out of 4 lanes were shut down on the 134 Freeway. It would have sucked to have waited until rush hour and then try to get home.
