And we have a winner! There were some that she did not care for, but Taylor liked most of the sushimi. |
The election has come and gone, and while Meg Whitman lost, I had the opportunity to meet with her prior to the election and listen to her speak. It was a great experience for me as I had never been involved in politics before. It was fun to watch how they worked the room to have everyone sit in a specific place. I felt as though it was a theatrical performance, but I have to imagine that most of them are like this. Still, all in all, it was fun.
Ken and I also had the first Lunch with your Child this school year. Jordan was the first in the lineup as she is in 1st grade. She was very upset from what we heard because she thought we had forgotten her. As it turned out, I had in our calendar wrong, so we were 20 minutes late. Jordan immediately started smiling when she saw we were there and did not want to let go. I felt horrible for having her think we forgot about her, but I'm so glad that children are resilient for the most part. It turned out well.
The girls had their Harvest Festival at the school. They enjoyed being able to play the games and see their friends. They got some extra candy from trick-or-treating around the playground. Ken and I suffered through the experience (we felt it lacked planning and thought), but the girls had a great time.
And, hockey season is here! Ken and I decided to get the mini-plan for our local team. The Ontario Reign is an ECHL team, and it's fun to see the "minor league" players. We can afford to take the girls to these games which is always a good thing. Jordan is the one who adores this sport as much as her mama. I got some great pictures of the girls as they were excited before and during the game.

Jordan was on the edge of her seat the moment the "hockey puck players" hit the ice |

Jordan stayed on the edge of her seat for the entire game and took it personally if one of "her" players was checked |
