Family Visiting....Animals

We were invited to go to Dan and Kym Kern's farm after church today, and we took them up on the offer.  The weather was nice, and it was awesome for Taylor and Jordan to get out and see the animals.

Of course, Jordan convinced Kym to let her ride a horse. What else would she choose to do after recently getting her cast off her arm?

Mandy was fine staying home by herself.  As someone allergic to Life, she didn't want to take any chances with the animal dander and the hay.  That meant the other two go to occupy all of their time with the animals: miniature ponies, goats, horses, cows and some cats.
Taylor and Jordan both commented that they really want a horse now.  I kept laughing at them and reminded them how much work they are, how much they cost, etc.

It was so rad that Dan and Kym shared their animals and their time with us.  I felt bad that they were being held up from their chores by our visit, but they didn't seem to mind.

Ken has wanted us to have us get out and mingle with others and get a support network going.  Ken confided that he is afraid that I'll be left with nothing if his cancer returns.  While he hasn't had any problems or symptoms since we moved, he is concerned that I gave up the Cal Vet benefits.  I love that he worries about me, but I so wish he would just relax and enjoy life.  I chose to move us so he and the girls could have a better quality of life.  One way or another, I will make this work for me.
