I was finally able to get my hair cut. I had put off getting it trimmed because I knew that I would need hair to sculpt for the New Year's Eve event, but I didn't realize how bad my ends had gotten. Whew! It felt great to get it all off and get back to normal.
Taylor had finally gotten to the point that she had stopped wishing for death, but she was still swollen and miserable from the pain. I knew she wasn't OK when she's waking up early in the morning. Her pain meds would wear off, and she would awaken in pain. Poor thing! I have to say that it was really nice to hear wonderful things from Taylor again such as "I love you Mama!" "Thank you for taking care of me, Mama!" Oh! I hadn't heard such a sweet sound in a couple years now from her! I really wish I had recorded it!
I tried out a new recipe this weekend - Rosemary Sage Pork Chops with apples. Taylor was totally upset that she couldn't eat any, but she was able to move up to YoNanas and eggs. Whoo-hoo!
Jen Hubbard saw a picture of Taylor and felt horrible for her, so she sent flowers. Taylor tried so hard to show how happy she was, but her poor face hurt so bad.
Nikki had sent me a link for Nigella Lawson. She is the English (and more realistic) version of Martha Stewart. I have been going through her recipes, and I wanted to try an easy one to start with. What could be better than a home-made chocolate sauce over Vanilla Bean ice cream!
There was plenty left-over, so I'll see how this does during a re-heat. Taylor was happy that she was able to have a little. I have to say, it was incredibly sinful!
