Ken and I woke up at 7:30 and realized that the girls weren't actually awake. Holy crap!! Seriously?? We were awake before them. I made coffee, and then Ken went and woke up the girls to enjoy Christmas morning. What a nice and lovely new tradition!!
The girls enjoyed their gifts - well, Jordan had some issues about not getting precisely what she wanted and the result was a hunk of styrofoam thrown at her head by Mama. Then, she discovered that she LOVED her gifts and immediately started setting everything up in her room. The Monster High Doll house is enormous!
I was totally spoiled by Ken again this year. It is so difficult for me to decide on what I want because he is everything I ever wanted and more. How do I ask for more than what I already have?? It seems horribly superfluous, but I know he loves to spoil me just as I love to spoil him each year. Ken had a great time with my final gift - a box within a box within a box gag.
Sean was on time, and he enjoyed his Christmas gifts and the girls loved their gifts from him.
Michael was late, as usual, and he had the final gift for the girls. Their excitement at seeing the ginormous bears was worth every moment of the hell I went through to get them, and I was sure to tag Keri in the picture on Facebook since she sent the money for them.
Kim and her girls arrived and we had a great time with the gifts.
The highlight was definitely the tutu that Kim bought for Michael and Sean's bunny suit. We had new annual traditions started!! We all laughed until our cheeks and stomach's hurt at the sight of them both.
We added in the annual viewing of A Christmas Story and laughed as everyone took turns saying lines before they were uttered on the movie. Justin and Marissa were very late, but they seemed to enjoy their Christmas with us.
Because everyone showed up at different times, and I was completely distracted, supper turned out late and the potatoes were not done in time to eat. It was a minor problem, and the first time I ever did that. No one seemed to mind, and everyone had a great time!
The mess in the living room was unbelievable!
Now, I need to start cleaning out my office!!! It is always a complete wreck since everything is stored there and wrapped there.
