Costco

Mandy went with me to Costco to get some major stocking up shopping done.  Somehow, that child has instant radar for all things that just should not be made. Mandy found this panda and immediately fell in love with it.
She also found this dog bed that just HAD to be purchased for Addie.  I liked the idea since my hope is to keep the dog hair contained to one location!!
Mandy liked the bed just as much as Addie did, and they napped together.  It was rather cute.
Well, the mistake that I made in this post was posting the picture of Mandy with the bear on Facebook.  The bear was adorable, but at $30 and with the sheer size of the bear, there was no way that I was purchasing it for her.  Besides, I would have had to purchase one for the other two girls as well, and I couldn't imagine those things in their rooms.

Keri Summers (Lamb) from my childhood saw the picture of the bear and Mandy and asked why I didn't purchase it for her.  I gave her my reasons, but she quickly shot them down.....by sending me the money to pay for the bears!!!  Yeah, I'm now wondering if she is truly my friend!!

So, back to Costco I went to purchase the panda and two more bears.  Sadly, the only other choice for these sized bears were Polar Bears, so I got two of those and figure I'll get colored collars to make them different for the girls.

Keri's philosophy is that ginormous bears = total happiness.  She happens to be correct. Everyone who saw the bears in my cart were instantly happy.  It was the weirdest thing.  When those bears were in the holders, only the children noticed them and the parents cringed (as I did).  But when they were in my cart, they were magical and everyone ooohhhh'ed and aaaahhhh'ed.

Getting them into my tiny car was hysterical!!

It was very difficult for me to see around the bears let alone move.  The bear next to me in the front was actually into my seat area which made shifting very awkward.

Now, to make things fun, I had people randomly honking at me and waving. Many others just stared into my vehicle as I drove home.  I really do not care for people, so this was uncomfortable for me!!

Then, to add to my day, I was pulled over by a Sheriff's Deputy in Victorville.  Really???  Like I wanted to have to be on the side of the road with these things in the car.  Plus, I couldn't figure out why the hell he had pulled me over!  As the Deputy walked up to my driver's window, he suddenly stops, bends over and starts laughing and laughing and laughing!  He informs me that he wasn't sure "what was going on" in my car, so he stopped me. He said he had no idea those were stuffed bears and then asked me where I got them.  Really?!  Ugh!!  Then, he says that since he was obviously wasting my time, "Is everyone buckled up for safety?"  Dear GOD!!

I called Keri as soon as I pulled away and told her I got pulled over.  She thought I was making it up. Um, no!! I can't make up the shit that happens to me!!

Luckily, Michael agreed to take the bears for me. Like I have room to hide these bad boys in my house!!!  Holy crap! Christmas is going to be interesting in the Koehler house!
