St. Patty's Day

What a great day of the year - it's a day we all get to be a little Irish, and a day for us to have fun and celebrate friendships.  Of course, St. Patrick's Day has it's own heritage and history, but for us Yanks, we just get to play.

Ken and I planned a huge bash at our house and we planned to celebrate both of our birthdays as well.  Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, so there were many of our friends who could not make it at the last minute.  While they were missed, we had a great time with those that showed up.

One of our friends, Cynthia Clark, made the cake special for Ken, and he loved it and laughed (OK, snorted) when he saw it.  There's nothing like a pair of large boobs to make a man happy.

Because of the weather, we moved the fryer and chairs to the garage so Ken could fry the wings, and we had plenty of room for everyone to hang out and socialize.  Cigars were handed out and smoked while everyone got to know each other or catch up with each other.

The night was spent in celebration of our 40th birthdays and of our friends.  Ken made his famous Wings, and we had the corned beef and cabbage with a ton of finger foods and appetizers.  Everyone was full and happy, and we all enjoyed some of the good Irish Whiskey provided by a true Irishman, Michael Gallagher.

By the end of the evening, everyone was tired and happy.  The party wound down just after midnight, and luckily, the light bit of snow that we got did not create too much trouble for our friends in getting home.

It's after events like this, that I am reminded exactly how amazing my life is and what has become of me.  So many blessings, and most of them are wrapped up in and because of Ken.
