The Wedding!!

The Cousins minus Jack who was getting ready for the wedding
Ken, the girls and I were completely excite to get back to the hotel and get dressed up to attend THE WEDDING!!  We were finally going to enjoy the entire reason we made this long trip, and as excited as we were, I'm sure that Robb and Jessica were way more excited!!  Aunt Rosie and Diana (Jessica's mom) were a wreck, but they hung in there like troopers.

Everything went off without a problem.  The wedding was gorgeous, and we all had a fantastic time.  Everyone was dressed impeccably, the decorations were beautiful and the setting (venue) made everything stand out even better.

We loved watching Jack as he stood up for his dad.  You could tell he was amazingly proud.  My favorite moment was when Robb saw Jessica.  He started crying, but he was trying to be manly and not cry.  His baby brother, Chris, made sure to hand him a handkerchief.  I wish I could have gotten pictures of that, but it was definitely memorable for all who saw.
I love his pride!!

This was just before Robb saw Jessica
On a side note - I loved being able to sit in the "family" section.  I have never been to a family member's wedding since most of them are Mormon, and even at the receptions, I was never given any "honorable mention."  Robb and Jessica as well as all of their family (which I understand is part Ken's family, but still!) went out of their way to make sure that we were all included and given the honor of "family" status in where we got to sit at the wedding and at the reception.  Jessica, thank you for that!!!

I enjoyed sneaking pictures during the photographer's moments.  I made sure to get as many pictures of the family as possible.  While the wedding party was getting set up, I tortured my own family with some pictures.  I totally wanted to get in front of the gazebo, but I understood that it was occupied.

I loved stealing pictures!

Uncle Jack is a complete crack-up.  Aunt Rosie's favorite adjective for him was "an ass" and it fit!  He kept talking about how if she was lucky, this could be a wedding celebration for the kids and a divorce party for them.  These are great shots!
Ken and me - an actual picture with me in it!

This is my favorite picture of Jack.

Once we were inside, I made myself busy taking pictures of the reception.  Ken kept asking why I would bother, and I thought it was simple.  The photographer would take what would seem like forever to get his pictures on his site, and I knew that Jessica would want to see pictures right away.  So, I took the pictures, uploaded them to Facebook when I got home, and she was happy when she left for her honeymoon - as that was exactly when the proofs went online from her photographer.  LOL

We closed down the reception.  There were many who left early, but given that this was a Sunday wedding, it made sense to me.  Jordan was the star of the event again - she did not like that this entire event was NOT about her, so she made sure to get involved wherever she could.  Ken and I danced and partied as much as we could.  I hated that my camera battery died just as Mandy finally danced with Ken.  AGAIN! I miss this event.

Jack and Eli were dancing machines the entire night!

It was really late when we got back to the hotel.  Ken and I really wanted to go down to the hotel bar and hang out with everyone for a while, but we were just too tired.  We got some sleep and figured we'd worry about packing in the morning.
