Christmas Performances - 2010

The girls had their Christmas performances this week.  Jordan and Taylor were on Tuesday, and Mandy was Wednesday.

The 1st Grade Performance went first, and they sang quite a few songs.  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (and we were shocked that Jordan didn't sing the extra parts this year), We Wish You a  Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, and so many more.  Jordan stood very tall and proud and she sang quite loud.  My proud moment was before the curtain opened.  You could clearly hear her teacher yelling at her.
I didn't notice this until after I got home, but Jordan had her fingers crossed hoping that she would find us.  How cute!!

Then, she found us - what a big smile!

And then she got goofy

"He sees you ..."

"...when you're sleeping"

Taylor's performance was a play with some songs mixed in.  Taylor did not have a large part, but she had auditioned for a speaking part.  While she was upset that she did not get the part, I am still proud that she keeps trying for things that she wants.  The "Bears" singing part was "We ate too many latkes."  Very cute.  The play was incredibly long - 50 minutes!
It was the oddest thing - to have most of the students sitting on the floor while waiting for their 5 minutes on stage.

The Bears get ready to hit the stage

The Bears were singing about how their tummys hurt after eating too many latkes

Curtain call!

Mandy's performance was singing of the Christmas songs.  It was only 15 minutes from start to finish.  Mandy actually sang the entire time, but she would only smile at the beginning.
This was the only time she smiled

And you can tell she's thrilled to be on stage

While she may not have been animated, at least she wasn't hiding under the risers.
