Sean is Ken's oldest son, if I hadn't mentioned that before. He has really had a tough summer having to come to terms with his mother. I do not envy him what he's going through. I went through it with my own mother, and I recently had a reminder from my father. Even after so many years, it is painful.
However, Sean's staying with us has really fostered a great relationship with the girls. It turns out that he's pretty good with kids, and the girls have loved having all of this time with their older brother.
Sean watched the girls while Ken and I went down the hill for an appointment. When we got home, it was time for the girls to nap according to their summer schedule. Here's what we saw when we got home:
Now, I made the joke that it looked like Jonestown, the morning after. Ken did not find that funny at all, but it really is a cute picture. The best part was realizing that Jordan was awake, and she was taking full advantage of having Sean closest to her.
The girls keep talking amongst themselves and with anyone else that they love having their older brother around, and it's great that Sean's starting to see how much they love him.
