Within 24 hours of returning home without Jordan, they started putting signs on both doors:
Here's Mandy/Jordan's room |
Here's Taylor's door |
Mandy, "There's a guy in front of our house in a fancy car!"
Taylor, "Yeah! An old guy in a fancy car. He must use the car to get girls."
Mandy, "NOT WORKING!"
Taylor, "Yeah, me neither!"
Then they go back to playing as though nothing happened. Ken and I laughed so very hard at listening to them. We had no idea how old the "old guy" was. Hahahahaha!
This morning, the comedy continues. Both Taylor and Mandy were dying to make pancakes for me and Ken. Taylor is an old pro at making pancakes, but Mandy wanted to try. I told Mandy that she could make mine since I have the Nutrisystem pancake mix.
Taylor - "Mama, why do you have to eat diet food? You're skinny and pretty already"
Mandy - "Maybe she wants to lose 1 pound, I think"
Taylor - "She could lose three pounds and that would be enough!"
I love that they think I'm great the way I am. I seriously don't want to shatter their childhood images and ideals! Talk about feeling loved!
(As a side note, when I told Ken about the conversation, this was his response, "I agree!"
