Jordan had two very distinct moments yesterday; both of which deserve some time:
My friend, Martin, had come over for my birthday. He and I were enjoying a beer waiting for Ken and DJ to come home so we could go get some ice-cream. Jordan and her sisters were fighting quite a bit (sadly, this is usual). Jordan was instigating, so I sent her out back to run out some of her energy. I cautioned her as she started to go outside to stay away from the back corner of the yard where Daddy was working. I told her that the concrete was going to be poured tomorrow and we didn't want Jordan prints.
Jordan stopped dead in her tracks and yelled at me, "Don't call me a prince!" It took Martin and me a few minutes to let it sink in, and then we both start laughing. Jordan continued, "I am a PRINCESS!" and with that, she went outside.
Martin took a while to laugh and enjoy it. He loved that he had witnessed a Jordanism live in person!
Later that night, Jordan came to my bedroom door and knocked softly. I opened the door and asked her what she wanted since she was supposed to be in bed. She said, "I want a hug and kiss from you!"
I explained that she had already had three hugs and kisses before going to bed. Jordan started to look pathetic and was "trying" not to cry. I was exasperated and asked her how many hugs and kisses she needed before she could go to sleep. Jordan thought for a moment, and then she said, "Four."
Hahahahahaha! OK, so I gave in and gave her a 4th hug and kiss for bed!
