Lunch with your Kindergartener

Today was Jordan's turn to have me and Ken join her at school.  "Lunch with your Kindergartener" was the theme, and I was surprised to see how many parents turned out this time.  Ken said he wasn't surprised since these are usually still the cute little ones of the family, but I still couldn't stop myself from noticing the difference  that these same parents don't show up for their older kids.

Nonetheless, Jordan was so excited that Ken and I were there.  Every the ham for a camera, Jordan posed every single time she saw the camera pointed in her direction.
She couldn't get enough of Ken being there with her.  Once again, I took a backseat but I loved watching her with him.  Jordan waved at all of her friends, screaming their names over the other screaming children to get their attention, and then she yelled, "This is my Daddy!  He came to see me!"
As you can see, it's getting hard to tell if Jordan truly loves Ken or not.  {wink and sarcasm!}  Jordan enjoyed eating her lunch, but she preferred to be Little Miss Social.

It took quite a bit to get pictures of her eating her food.  Seriously, every time she saw the camera, she would drop - or throw - her food down and pose.  Ken convinced her to take some pictures with me.
No, we have no idea what this was about!  As soon as we showed her the picture, she started telling all of her friends about the silly smile she made.
The principal made an announcement that parents could take their children home with them if they wanted to start Spring Break early and reminded parents to sign their children out at the front. Jordan got nervous! She asked if she was going home right after eating.  Ken and I had tossed the idea around over her head before she asked, and we decided to let her finish out the day, so we told her that she would stay for recess and the rest of school.

At this news, Jordan sits up and starts screaming, "Yay!  I get to stay in school!"  Her friends sitting around her couldn't believe that she was happy to be staying.  Ken and I once again laughed at her.

We held her hand as she stood in line to throw her tray away, and then walked out of the cafeteria.  Jordan was busy telling everyone that she couldn't wait for us to play with her at recess, so we had to tell her we were leaving; that we couldn't stay for the rest of the day.  She was very bummed out about this and stated, "But how will you see how cool I am?"

At least we didn't shake her humbleness by leaving!  ;)
