An evening with the girls

After Day 2 of Spring Break, of chores, school packets, reading logs and more chores (weeding), the girls and I settled down to watch a movie:

The girls had never seen the original movie, only the remake from 1998.  They thought the "dolls" at the beginning were funny and the "naked flying people" AKA cupids were just so silly.  


Every once in a while, it's nice to sit back and enjoy what you have.  This evening, I cuddled on the couch with the three best things that have ever  happened to me.  We laughed at the movie, and the girls screamed at the "gross parts" (that would be any kissing whatsoever).  


They giggled and laughed through the movie and had a great time just sitting with me watching a movie that made them laugh.  At the end, it was past their bedtime, and even while they are supposed to be going to sleep, I can hear them whispering to each other through the walls about the silly parts of the movie.  My favorite part of their conversation, "She is the bestest Mama ever!"


Score a point for the old Mama who usually ruins their lives.  :)
