Taylor is honored

Taylor received her award for finishing Stage 1 - Prone.  She accomplished this very quickly as did another young girl.  There is no measure of how proud Ken and I are of her.

Taylor then went on to Stage 2 - sling in prone position.  She struggled with the sling attached to her arm, and Taylor did not like the weight of the rifle without the sand bags.  She had two of the coaches helping her at some times, but the one coach never left her side.  Taylor had the ability to only shoot one target and try again the next time, but she kept telling the coaches that she's not a quitter!  Taylor kept going and did really well on her first try with a sling.

Taylor Qualifies!

Once again, I am completely excited and proud!  Taylor qualified to move on to Stage 2 of the Jr. Rifle Team after only three days.  The first day was just an orientation, and then she missed a Thursday while Ken and I were gone.  Tonight, she came home bubbling about how she is already done with Stage 1 and she will get her badge next time.

Way to go Taylor!
