Let Them Have Cake!

Well, it's really not going to be about the blase attitude over the despondent, but it's been a difficult couple of weeks lately (as you've read), and the girls have had just as difficult of a time.  They are on summer vacation which I have learned is completely different for children as it is for the parents.  


So, the girls want to have all of the fun that they can squeeze into the short days of summer, and, well, Mama has been preoccupied and Daddy has been busy as well.  So, today, I got Taylor, Mandy & Jordan a special little summer cake, and I bought Ken a special, romantic card - all for no reason whatsoever.


Ken loved the card and especially because it was "just because."  The girls lost their minds when they got to see the cake and dig in.  I loved the fun the cake produced.

And so the summer gets kicked off again!
