Sadly, we woke up and had to start packing. As much as Ken and I look forward to sleeping in our bed again, we all will miss the beach. Again, it was great having Christina with us to help get everything cleaned up, packed up and moving.
It always amazes me to see how much stuff we travel with on this trip:
Before we left the base, we stopped by the MCX one more time, and we purchased a USMC bear for Christina to take home with her, and Jordan used her birthday money from Grandpa Koehler to purchase a new game for her Leapster. She got the game "Brave" based on the new Disney movie that will be released in a couple weeks.
Apparently, the girls had played hard during this week. All three of them fell asleep on the way home, but Mandy was the one who was out the hardest.
We dropped Christina off to her aunt, and then we got home, unloaded, unpacked, did the laundry, put everything away, and then crashed and went to bed early.
As always, the beach trip is our favorite way to start the summer - sun, sand, salt air and fun. My favorite part is the relaxation - especially after a school year comes to a close.
