Despite my not feeling well, Mandy and I took off Saturday and headed down the hill to the South Bay. It was Daniel's birthday party, and Mama was the photographer. Ken stayed home due to his fighting of this flu bug, and Taylor & Jordan were (not) enjoying their grounding.
The party was at a warehouse where it's a bunch of indoor bounce houses. All of the kids had a blast jumping, and they were worn out within the hour. After all of the jumping came the pizza, chips and punch with fruit and veggies added from Cyn.
Daniel was so very excited to see Lola show up at his birthday party. They have not seen each other much, but there was no time lost in getting back into the swing of a great friendship.
Mama's favorite moment was getting a true smiling picture of Mandy. These are rare pictures, and I am always so excited to see them. She is truly a beauty, and I love being able to showcase her like this!
Personally, I know my photography skills were not up to par due to not feeling well at all, but I still got some really cute shots. My favorites were at the end of the day when I was able to get pictures of the family.
Leena saw a family picture on Pinterest, and she demanded that they duplicate it. Having not seen the picture, I am really hoping that this was close:
I had promised Mandy to eat at Tomboys, but we were leaving so late that we just went through the drive-thru. Of course, I posted where we were at on Facebook, and then we got an invitation to meet up with Jeff and Brie Wells, so we went back to Tomboys and enjoyed supper with more friends.
Mandy fell asleep almost immediately as we got on to the freeway to head home. I spoke with Ken who was happily feeling better via the headset and cell phone. I loved bringing him up to date with our day, and was excited that I managed to get the flip flop tissue holder from Bed, Bath & Beyond as well as some Devonshire Cream from Bristol Farms on my trip down here.
The day was uber long, but it was wonderful to see my friends, get out of my own town and remember all that life has to offer. Of course, the next time, I don't want to be sick while doing it!
I love that last picture!! That's awesome :)
