CAHSEE

It is the final administration of the California High School Exit Exam.  I am again in charge of my local area which completely sucks the life out of me and takes up all of my time.

Most of my career has been spent NOT wanting to be in charge.  I don't like the red-tape, the responsibility, and all of the crap that comes with it.  Unfortunately, the lady in charge of assigning the Test Site Coordinators did not understand how little I wanted the position - and then I was left with no choice.

So, for the third time this year, I have found myself making sure I have all documents, secured a testing site, coordinated to ensure the students knew when and where to show up, and then to make sure that everything is done properly:  blah, blah, blah.  It takes a lot of time to enter in the attendance, be sure the students' information is bubbled correctly, and go through the process of answering emails that Yes, everything is going smoothly.

What a total pain in my ass and a waste of my time.  I have a caseload of 264 students, but it was determined that this was a better use of my talents and time?  Ugh! Tomorrow will be the second and last day for this final administration, and good riddance.  Now - I will need to find a way to be sure someone else is stuck with this job next year.

All I could do is take a nap when I got home, muddle through supper and get through a drink.
