The plan for yesterday was to take the girls to Disneyland for Christmas Magic before their passes blacked out. Unfortunately, Taylor couldn't control herself and lost the privilege, so Ken stayed home with her while I took Mandy and Jordan to Disneyland. We met with Martin Hoover and his girlfriend, Kathy Lintner and drove down together.
Once we got to the park, I was amazed by how busy it was. The girls were disappointed we didn't get on many rides, but by the end of the night, they were so happy with what they were able to do through the day. They were also incredibly delighted by the fact that we stayed through the evening for the parade and the fireworks.

We were able to go on Pirates since it finally reopened. We enjoyed The Haunted Mansion with Jack Skeleton again and the Winnie the Pooh ride. Martin's favorite was when Jordan agreed to go on Splash Mountain. Kathy, Mandy and I refused to go one the ride due to the cold. Apparently, Jordan was totally cool with the ride until they started the climbing. Then, Martin said, she started getting very worried and then just downright scared. He came off the ride laughing hysterically. Once I heard the story, I started laughing which caused me to start laughing. Jordan feigned hurt feelings, but then she started laughing.
We headed over to get some lunch at the Golden Horseshoe and we were able to stay for the show. As is typical of Jordan, she stole the show and had all of the men's attention. Kathy got some great pictures, and I can't wait to steal them.
It was time for the parade and the girls lined up on a wall by It's a Small World in order to watch the parade. We weren't able to go on the ride because of the long lines, but we were right there when the holiday lights came on. I was just like the girls & had a large intake of breath when I saw them and said "Ohhhhhh!".
I hadn't seen a Disney parade in a while. Mandy didn't remember the one she saw years ago and jordan had never seen one, so the holiday parade was perfect. Both girls had their eyes bugging out of their heads and "oohhing" and "ahhhing". However, once Jordan say Santa, she lost her mind. "SANTA!! It's me, Jordan! I'm over here!". Once Santa looked her way and waved, she went nuts again. "Mom! He looked at me!!"
Once the parade crowd thinned out, we went to the front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for pictures in front of the decorations.
We were finally able to ride Pirates again and the girls were excited since it had been closed so long. We then went to get some hot chocolate and mickey's cookies and then watched the fireworks. It was really funny when the girls complained they were tired and achy.
We took pictures in front of the main Christmas tree and then headed home. I felt bad for asking Martin and Kathy to skip going to The Hat, but I needed to get the girls home and in bed. They were asleep before we even got to Ball Road. Jordan fell asleep with her hand in her bag and cookie in her mouth.
All in all, it was a great day!!
I took a load of pictures of the fireworks totally forgetting that I had the Stock Photos from Disneyland. Here they are, and they're much better than my phone was capable of:
