I was really glad that we could host a holiday with them. We typically go to their house, but they were going to Big Bear for the rest of the weekend, so it worked out well for everyone. Ken and I also were able to enjoy having Sean and Danielle for Thanksgiving. Typically, the boys spend Thanksgiving with their mother's family, but Sean had to work yesterday, and apparently, his mom would not have supper held for him. He checked on what we were doing, and it was no big deal to have two extra people. We had a ton of food, and a ton of fun.
The day portion was filled with football and cartoons, and the appetizers were out for everyone to munch on all day. Sadly, I failed to get pictures of the amount of main course we had. Cyn was awesome and brought her chafing dish set to keep everything warm and available to eat.
Then, the evening had a roaring fire, the movie Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving, and then Bridesmaids for the adults, and plenty of laughter and fun. Ken's pies were a hit, and everyone went into food-coma!

Addie found it too chilly - so she burrowed under her bed and then kept by the fire |

When Addie ventured away from the fire, it was to cuddle with the kids |
There were plenty of leftovers, and again, it was great to have our "family" with us to officially kick off the holiday season!! I loved being able to relax a little and just enjoy life!
