Well, I had purchased some amazing fabric back in September. I was looking for Halloween fabric for the girls' treating buckets, but then I stumbled on a great sunflower/autumn fabric that I had to have. I had thoughts of a table runner, placemats & napkins.
Time got away from me (as is evidenced by the stitching projects not completed), but I was determined to give it a try today. The absolute hardest part was cutting the fabric. I paid $36 for this fabric - I had no desire to screw things up! I mean, once you make a bad cut, you're stuck with it. I was terrified!
Now, I didn't pin the fabrics together, so they didn't fit together perfectly, but I wasn't overly concerned with that at this point - I just wanted it to look like what I had planned.
I finished the table runner & put it on the dining table. I asked Ken what he thought & he said it looked great! I got a C in Home Ec back in Jr. High because I couldn't sew. This didn't turn out half bad!
