Samantha's Place

Our "residence" for this trip was Samantha's house.  She was ever so kind to offer for us to crash at her place which means that she and her children were terribly inconvenienced the whole time.  Of course, if you ask her, it was "no bother" and she enjoyed having us around.

I will jump to the end and say that by the time two weeks was over, all of us had our livers revolting against us for the amount of liquid we consumed during this trip.  EVERYONE wanted to see Ken and hang out, and that always included having a drink.  Over all, we had a BLAST!!


Now, the very next morning after arriving, the kids were up and playing out back.  Taylor ran into the kitchen, "Mama!  You have GOT to come see this!!"  I went out back with her and looked around.  I asked what, specifically she wanted me to look at.  She informs me that she was rolling around in the grass just because she could.  Taylor then asked me to take a lot of pictures of the grass because it was "so cool!"  Apparently, desert living has harmed my children's upbringing and just seeing grass sends them over the edge.  So, I took pictures of Sam's backyard.

I do have to admit that it was cool that she had a natural fence, and the trees were just naturally there.  We don't have that too much in SoCal.  I also liked that there was no real need to have curtains on the back bedrooms since, well, there was no one back there to see you.  


Now, we had a great time at Sam's house the entire time.  Ken and I are still missing her and the kids very much.  Here are some of the highlights of our time there.
