Now, we set our menu on Sundays, so I was busy all day working & then studying. At 5:30, I stopped so I could start supper. Ken had wonderfully done the grocery shopping (despite him asking what a shallot is and where to find tarragon), and I was so glad I remembered to put everything together.
The recipe was easy to follow & the smell was heavenly. Mandy even tried some of the sauce willingly. The food was great, and we enjoyed our family supper together with the candles & spoke about our days. OK, well, the girls talked about their days & Ken & I listened.
Jordan was very tired today & apparently had. A bad day at school. Her teacher told Ken that she was in the office crying today, "Please don't tell my Daddy! I'm his Little Princess and he CAN'T be disappointed in me!" Ken's heart was melting as he relayed that story to me.
Taylor then dropped a bomb on us by informing us that a guy friend of hers asked her out to see a movie. Ken went into shock & then ostrich mode. He completely wishes he could unhear it all. I don't blame him. She's only in 6th grade, but we reminded her of rules & she said she already told him she could have friends who are guys, but her studies are more important than anything. Awesome!!
