Ken decided to get a puppy so he can train it to be a bird dog. We found a really adorable Golden/White Lab puppy and we named her Prinzessin Adelaide. She's very good about training, and Ken is spoiling her rotten.

Yes, I will take pictures when she's 60 pounds and she still wants to cuddle |

Ken had laid down to show me 6 feet from the Kinect, and Addie thought it was cuddle time |

Addie has full adjusted to our house - she sleeps on her back she's so relaxed |
We took Mandy's stitches out of her back. Her back healed really well, and she's much happier now that the pokey stitches are out.
I made Ken's favorite Christmas cookie - Pfeffernusse. He ate both batches!
Ken broke a toe from playing the Kinect. He was playing against Taylor in soccer, and he went to kick the ball and kicked his big toe right into the floor. Cyn was up visiting with Leena and Daniel, and she and I (sadly) kept laughing. Ken soaked his foot in ice water, but he was still in pain the next morning, so he went to the VA for an x-ray and came home with an orthopedic shoe.
We had a rain storm again like last Winter that left us wondering if we should have gotten some sandbags. Luckily, the rain stopped as the water level got to our back patio.
All in all, this was a busy, but fun month. We were going to head to Cyn and Josh's house for New Year's, but the girls refused to cooperate. That left us with planning for a quiet night home, and since we disconnected our TV, we also weren't able to watch the ball drop on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve. Oh well.
