My former students succeed!

I had the wonderful honor to be invited and to attend the high school graduation of some of my former students.  Some of these students really did not believe that graduating from high school was possible for them, and the reasons were vast.  Some believed that they were incapable of learning, some believed that they were just stupid, and one had become a mom and thought that she'd never be able to finish high school.

Needless to say, these students all persevered and managed to graduate even though I was not at the school for their senior year.  I was honored by most of them by being thanked for everything I did for them, and while I would love to take all of the acclaim, it was these young people who finished the work, pushed themselves to find their potential, and got through school.

So, here are some pictures of these amazing young people that I had the honor of teaching:

I love that this book was finally realized as a great manual for life!  A student read it during the ceremony.

These young people worked very hard to achieve their diplomas.  I only hope they know how much they impacted my life and how much of them taught me.  They are each special to my heart, and I will carry them with me where ever I go!  Thank you for allowing me to be in your lives and to share in your joys!
