I went into the kitchen, and noticed that Jordan was on her hands and knees with a bucket of hot water and Pine-sol and a scrub brush. I asked her what was going on, and she was happy to tell me all about it.
"Daddy said that I could either go to bed or scrub the kitchen floor. I told him I would scrub the floor, and I'm not even in trouble, Mama!"
I sat down on the nearest stool that I could find. I couldn't believe what she had said. I made sure to confirm things with her.
"So, Jordan, you're not in trouble, but you're scrubbing the floor?"
Jordan replied, "Right! I wanted to scrub the floor instead of going to bed! Isn't this great?!"
Hahahahahahaha! So I mosey on back to my room and stand there staring at Ken while leaning against the door frame. I confirm with him that Jordan is NOT in trouble. He said that he was trying to find something horrible so she would choose the option to go to bed. Instead, she spent 37 1/2 minutes on her hands and knees scrubbing the floor and singing happily because she wasn't in bed yet.
For those of you who haven't figured it out, I am in TROUBLE with my youngest!!! She is always keeping me on my feet and killing me with her intelligence and wit at such a young age. So, here she is NOT going to bed:
