Jordan gets an award!

Jordan was incredibly excited about getting her "reward."  Ken and I made into the multi-purpose room as the last of the Kinder classes was getting settled.  Jordan had been craning her neck in all directions looking for us, and she was visibly happy and relaxed when she saw us arrive.

(For the record, we weren't late getting there, it's just really hard to get any of the other parents at her school to remember that there are OTHER children there and to be courteous to other parents.)

Again, Jordan was soooooooo excited that we made it.  She kept turning around to wave at us rather than pay attention.  Hard to believe for her, right?

When it was her turn, Jordan waited and waited while her teacher called some other students.  Then, she heard her name, she jumped up and ran to get her "reward."

I had to seriously wait for one parent to walk right up in front and take pictures of her kid, but I was finally able to get a nice shot of Jordan with her Good Reader Award.

Excellence in Language Arts for practicing to learn new words every day!

Jordan's reading has improved a LOT over this last semester.  Again, I totally give credit to Disney for it.  I spent so much time fighting with the other two to read, and they hate it, so I wanted to try what I was used to, but I didn't want to give the girls my old 45's.  I found that Disney went digital and bought the Family Subscription!  Totally worth it!  All of the girls now read and love it. Jordan adores that she can read books that are above her capability because she can just click the mouse and have the book read to her.

I really wish I could take the credit for instilling a love of reading in Jordan and her love of learning new words, but I just got her started, she did the rest.
