Ken & Kasey at Disneyland
THANK YOU TO JOHNNY FOR SIGNING US IN SO WE COULD HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP TO DISNEYLAND WITHOUT THE KIDS!
OK, now that the formalities are over, Ken and I were able to take a break from life and go to the Happiest Place on Earth. I made Ken get the "I am Celebrating" button in honor of his tumor not growing. (We go back for him to have another check up in April.)
We had a great time walking around and seeing everything. I was a complete moron and forgot to check my battery on my camera, so I was only able to get a couple rides' worth of picture before the battery died, so I stooped to using the Disneyland photographers in order to get some more pictures. We were asked to make some funny faces, but it was a good time.
My friend, Melodie, told us that Soaring over California was a ride that was NOT to be missed. We didn't get on it when we took the girls because we didn't know if it was worth the long line. Melodie was totally right - this was an awesome ride! Ken and I weren't sure about things when we heard that you shouldn't ride it if you have an issue with heights, but this ride was incredible! Ken and I really hope that we can take the girls back soon so they can be on this ride.
I hadn't been to Disneyland without children since the early '90s, and Ken had never been without kids. Even more fun for me, was that Captain EO was re-released. Ken had never seen this and lost his mind at the fashions and hair styles. All hail 1986!
Ken and I loved being able to be lovey-dovey and enjoy riding the rides that we were interested in. We had a great time, but couldn't wait to get home.
