What a Week!!

We have had one hell of a week.  We learned on Monday that Taylor's online chat buddy is not actually a friend from school, and we hit the roof. She was also using her Chrome Book at school inappropriately, so she is in trouble there.  Ken and I got very suspicious when someone was messaging her while she was in school.  Everything points to the fact that this is a pedophile, and we are so thankful that we caught things early rather than finding out after the fact - such as her death or the death of her sisters.  

Pat Shelby, the school principal and Deputy Conley laid into Taylor and lack of common sense.  I have spent the last few days trying to cope with learning about her lies, and then the OH MY GOD she could have been killed! And then we learned that she actually tried to meet this jackass.  What a relief that it didn't work out!!!!!!

I did what I could the rest of the week to get my work done, and we stayed on Taylor's ass every night.  Needless to say, she's grounded from electronics until the end of time.  We really have no idea when we're going to give her access to the Internet again.  I have made an appointment with a counselor, and she's going to talk to someone. I have no idea what is lacking in her life, but she's going to need to deal with it before things go terribly wrong for her.

This weekend, we have been busy. The girls are on Fall Break, and we are heading to the Sierras.  Ken is completely excited and cannot wait to go fishing.  I spend the week trying to get completely caught up for work since I took 5 days off since we won't have cell service up there.  Besides, it will be really nice to have the break and hopefully we will all relax.

We aren't going to have the really big cabin - it was already booked, but we still managed to get one that should accommodate us all.  The girls will have to alternate who sleeps on the floor, but they're young and they will be fine.  LOL
