Monday???

The worst part about a three-day weekend is that it totally feels like a Monday - but it's not.  I spent the entire day complaining about the Monday blahs or the typical Monday crap only to be reminded that it was, in fact, Tuesday.  Ugh!

Well, the spirit of the Monday was in true form.  I stayed busy all day long with a ton of logistical nightmarish behavior from staff members.  I am happy to report that my District will not be sporting a new Director of Special Education because a qualified applicant has not yet applied.  Yes, that makes me happy because I knew one of the people who applied, and it scared me that she would be promoted.  Whew! Disaster avoided on that respect.  And, for those who keep asking, NO! I will NOT be applying for the position.  I know what situation my District is in, and I don't want the job of fixing it.

Just after noon, it was time for some major pick-me-up.  While Dr. Pepper is found in my veins, serious caffeine was much needed.  Have I ever talked about my wonderful Christmas present from my very loving husband?  No?! Well, here it is in action!

I cannot begin to explain my love for espresso. I love the smell of it, I love that you can do so much with it - flavors, iced, macchiato, latte, cappuccino - you name it. And my husband adores me so much that he bought me my very own machine and all of the accessories to go with it.  Of course, he loves having a cup of Mexican Mocha in the afternoons, which is perfectly wonderful.

Ken has spent time researching a cart for all of the gear for family shooting events.  He finally found one that he liked, and he got it set up...in the living room of course, and the girls loved seeing it as well especially since it signifies Family Shooting.

Please note Mandy's complete excitement depicted by my abilities with a BlackBerry phone - she is in the air! We will be traveling to all shoots in total style from now on.  No more lugging our range bags, snacks, drinks, the cooler, camera equipment on our shoulders.  Nope - Daddy made sure that we will also be shielded from the sun and have comfy chairs to lounge in while waiting for our turn in rotation.

After our supper and the girls were in bed, I found some time for my stitching.  I really want to have this project done by the First, but I may have to go into June a bit to get it done.  I found a couple snags in the back on the backstitching, and it took a LOT of time to get them frogged without unraveling the stitching.

It's all looking really good now though.
